r******

I purchased the Nissan 1.5dci qashqai from a Nissan main dealer in 2011 thinking I would have a reliable car for many years, however after keeping the main dealer servicing up to date and only covered 53k I have been advised that the small ends have gone and now basically have an uneconomical repair that requires a replacement engine. I must confess I never knew that the 1.5 dci engine is a Renault engine, if I had known I would have never have purchased as had trouble with French r****** in the past.
Nissan not interested, a mechanic has advised me that this is recognised fault that is starting to evolve as the car reaches the 50k mark, obviously nissan won't admit it as they will probably go broke!

Don't bother buying the dci, apparently the petrol engines are Japanese so stick with them, loved the car up to now but will never touch Nissan again.
