1.2 Dig-T Acenta 5dr
Good car ruined.
The most spacious car of it's size bar non. The 1.2 engine is a disgrace with oil usage due to piston ring and bore issues. The oil warning light is NOT connected to the dash so there is no warning when the oil is low enough to make the timing chain stretch or break, and the oil can disappear in less than 1000 miles. This was a known fault but Renault - Nissan chose to ignore it to the detriment of the customer. I spent 1450 pounds for a new timing chain and valve shotblast to cure mine and is now the car it should have been all along. This is a Renault engine. I also have had electrical faults aplenty with Cam position sensors (3), Coil packs (3 ), battery (3 ) ( which my main dealer didn't tell me about) . All caused by two wires touching in a loom. A potentially great little car ruined by the 1.2 engine. A great car if you avoid this engine. If they had made an Estate I would have one in a heartbeat. (Diesel )
