Economical to run, effortless to drive.

Having retired a couple of years ago, I found 90% or higher of my journeys were short and not good for my car at the time.
My wife had an MG5 estate for 5 years without any issues so decided to replace my 6 year old car for an MGS5 after a test drive.
Having owned hybrids in the past you get used to one pedal driving. The MGS5 is the most effortless car to drive I’ve ever owned. Is it flawless no.
The MG pilot is streets ahead of my wife MG5, but still has its flaws and you have to manually override it occasionally and disabling some of the features using custom settings is a must. Personally I feel if a car constantly bings and bongs you ignore them.
To be fair I’ve yet to drive a new car that has a flawless auto pilot system.
The car performs well achieving close to the 288 mile range in the warmer months and possibly 220 in the winter.
It’s nice to be able to turn on heating to defrost the car in the winter from the comfort of you home.
The rear wheel drive gives an enjoyable driving experience, however is can loose grip in the winter if the roads are icy.
The cabin is relatively quiet and quite relaxing to drive, it is no slouch and has plenty torque to overtake when needed.
Does it do everything best, no it just does everything ok.
