The funnest vehicle I have ever owned!

I decided to make the change from driving a comfortable, spacious, motorway cruising Mazda 6 to the Mazda MX-5. I am really glad I did. I commute on the motorway in it and it is a genuine pleasure to do so. I went for the 1.8l version as the 2.0l one pushes the insurance too high for someone my age. It isn't lacking - it's got some serious poke, it feels very stable and there's excellent feedback from the car, but not so that it's bone-jarring. I don't dread speed bumps....and I love country lanes!

I can fit three (full!) of those giant reusable shopping bags in the boot - anyone who buys one of these and whinges about the boot is daft. They're not for carrying luggage! I do however have the chrome luggage rack on the back of the car as an extra.

Heated leather seats are a nice addition and I am sure I will enjoy those in the winter. The stereo is great - I was a little spoiled in my Mazda 6 with the great sound and luckily the MX-5 comes up to standard!

MPG so far is coming out at around 40. Can't believe it! Considering it's 5 years old and a sporty petrol vehicle, that's great. I consider the tax to be fair; it's actually lower than the Mazda 6 VED.

The best bit is the noise when the ignition starts - growl!
