Overall reliability

big bold brash but surprisingly good

bought at 1 year old with 19k and other than a set of tyres at 36k and servising at main dealer have spent nothing else on it, I am heavy with the right foot and the 3.0 diesel engine is a dream, never missing a beat, now done 56k and have been thinking of changing it for 6 months now but cant justify doing it, would like a merc 320cdi but mines + 10 - 12 k for roughly the same age ...I doubt it..after all its the same engine..Another Grand Cherokee? possibly...
I tried new style 3.0 X5 for 4 days before I bought this and the fuel consumption was the same 25 ish... My wife used this last winter in the snow and I really struggled to get the keys back off her...it really is the best in the snow and i have had umpteen makes of 4x4s before, i pulled my daughters Sorrento out of a drift last winter easily. no fuss..
Servicing by main dealers ok, no real problems
So yeah...I think I will buy another...
