not very good

i have been a bmw man for over 35 years. there are many good points on the bmw 530i, the engine as a lot of power and returned mid 30,s mpg. but there was a lot of bad behind the shine. the so say comfort seats are far to hard, nd i had to purchase some foam to cover the seat base. after long trips, on getting out of the car, i still had the feeling of moving for a time after, likely due to the hard walled run flat tires. but the worry with this car was the electrics. during my ownership the rear hatch would just open by itself when parked up. i returned the car to the main dealer who when trying to reboot the cars software killed the cars command unit. it took them over a week to get the car sorted for a simple door catch problem. i think that bmw as cut to many basic corners on the car and replaced it with r****** like the smart key, self parking that was useless most of the time as the car parked so near the next one i could not open the door to get out. once out of warrenty this car would just be one giant money pit. if you are paying the bills yourself don’t buy.
