Comfortable, fast and striking looking alternative to the German offerings.

If you are looking for a small / medium sized family hatchback for ferrying you and yours about the daily comings and goings of everyday life, then don't even think about the Mito QV.
On the other hand, if you want sparkling performance with comfortable seating and all modern extras you would normally want, then look no further than this overlooked little gem. It is good looking, especially in the glorious Alfa red, surprisingly economical, has loads of character and still bites back if you treat it badly, so treat it with respect. Unlike the German cars, the Mito requires that you can actually drive and does not have every little foible dialled out of the steering and handling. It is also surprisingly fast, with a wonderful exhaust note. It has room for four, drives beautifully, but firmly as you would expect. It is not designed to pootle to the local shops and back. This car demands to be used, and will put a smile on your face every time you do. Sure, the quality of some of the plastics is not as good as perhaps they could be and the paintwork needs to be kept in good order as it is prone to chipping and fade.
Runs best on the expensive Shell V Max fuel, VED not as cheap as some, group 26 insurance and replacement tyres are not bargain basement offerings. Having said that, few cars with level of performance claim to be cheap to run. Best car I have had in over 40 years of driving, and I include the aforementioned Germans.
