The new Citroen C5 Aircross is a boldly-styled new family SUV that will be offered in petrol, plug-in hybrid and, for the first time, pure electric guise.
The new Citroen e-C5 Aircross will have an electric range of up to 422 miles, helping it take on best-selling challengers such as the Tesla Model Y.
The second-generation new Citroen C5 Aircross successfully brings to life some of the bold styling cues first seen in the Paris Motor Show 2024 concept car. This makes it a much more distinctive machine than its predecessor.

The new Citroen C5 Aircross has a design that is powerful and muscular, says Citroen. At the front, it features the brand’s latest logo prominently in the centre, along with the new three-point light signature. On the electric new Citroen e-C5 Aircross, the front section is fully enclosed.
At the side of the new Citroen C5 Aircross, there’s a distinctive feature line that stretches from front to rear.

At the rear, the new Citroen C5 Aircross features the distinctive ‘light wings’. These 3D-style rear lights see two exterior light points standing clear of the lamp cluster.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross is 4652mm long, up 150mm on before, and 1902mm wide. The wheelbase is up 60mm to 2784mm, almost all of which is used to improve rear legroom.
The larger platform means the new Citroen C5 Aircross can accommodate wheels up to 20 inches – a first for Citroen.

The design of the new Citroen C5 Aircross’ dashboard is based around a ‘cascade’ centre touchscreen. It is the largest central HD screen ever offered by a Stellantis brand. The centre section ‘floats’, then cascades down to connect with the centre console.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross touchscreen has a fixed status bar at the top, a large customisable central area, and a fixed control bar for quick access functions - wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. There’s also direct access to front passenger climate control.
‘Hello Citroen' voice recognition aims to make it easier to use the new Citroen C5 Aircross – with the system further enhanced by ChatGPT.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross also has a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, that can be complemented by a head-up display.

Seats and upholstery in the new Citroen C5 Aircross have a ‘sofa design’ that’s meant to evoke a living room. The front chairs themselves are Citroen Advanced Comfort seats, with an added layer of extra-plush padding. The high-quality foam extends to the rear seats and the backrests can be reclined.

The new Citroen C5 Aircross engine range opens with the Hybrid 145, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and a 0.9kWh battery. The engineers say it can be driven in town up to 50% of the time in EV-only mode.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid has a 195PS output, thanks to a 150PS 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine and 125PS electric motor. It uses a 21kWh battery to offer an EV range of over 62 miles in town.
The new Citroen e-C5 Aircross has a choice of two batteries. The 210PS Standard Range has a 73kWh battery with a range of up to 323 miles. The 230PS Extended Range has a 97kWh battery with a range of 422 miles. A heat pump is available and the rapid-charge speed is up to 160kW.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross continues to use the firm’s Citroen Advanced Comfort suspension. This includes Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, which engineers say will give a ‘magic carpet ride’.
At the front of the new Citroen C5 Aircross, there are two progressive dampers, one for compression and the other for rebound. These soak up small road irregularities, but also aid comfort over bumpier roads too.
