Driving License Revoked - SiplicitySteve

I was stopped in May 2012 and it transpired that my driving license was revoked for an offense in 2005, which I was unaware of.

I had been to court for an MS90 (failure to ID driver) and was found guilty and paid my fine. I subsequently had another MS90 from the same court, for which I didn't appear to make a plea, and was found guilty in my absense, and fine again. This incident I was totally unaware of, but apparently the DVLA wrote to me requesting my license for an MS90 offense, which I assumed was for the case that I had already appeared in court for, and had had my license endorsed for.

Any suggestions?

Driving License Revoked - Dwight Van Driver
Where a person is convicted at Court and points awarded against him he has to surrender Licence for those endorsements to be inserted and DVLA notified.
If it comes to the notice of DVLA that points awarded and and Licence not surrendered then they will revoke the Licence.

To unrevoke one has to to reapply for the Licence to DVLA.

In relation to the second matter referred to above if you were unaware of those proceedings then within 21 days of the matter coming to your notice if you make a statutory declaration to the Mags Clerks of this fact, the conviction can be put aside and the case reheard. This will give you the opportunity to contest if you have the evidence to do so.

Its a matter that wants sorting as in addition to the revoked Licence there will be a Court fine outstanding and maybe arrest warrant issued.????
