Not sure if i'm in the right place........I'm looking at starting a small business early next year and I know i'm going to need trade insurance as it will involve moving customers cars and some buying cars for clients etc, I also want the business to include rental of 1or2 cars which will be quite specialist. I spoke to my trade insurance broker today and he said that the insurance companys he deals with strear clear of hiring.
So my questions are, what type of insurance will I need to allow 1or2 cars to be hired out? is there a way of doing it so I only setup insurance on a as reuired basis and I enter the customer details online and the period that they require insurance? Rather than pay for something that may only be ocsional to start with, its hard to know if my idea is going to take off before I start, and would like to only pay for what I require to start with.Or should I get my customers to sort their own insurance when hiring one of my cars? Or is there a trade policy that also allows hire out of cars?
