Peugeot 306 - Coolent leaking from heater ducts inside car - twigwot

Hi can anyone help, we have a problem with our daughters car. We recently did a rad clean as the water wasn't going round the system and the bottom of the rad was cold even when the fan kicked in. This solved that problem but now coolent is leaking from the lower heater ducts inside the car in quite large amounts. First time it did it was when we were bleeding the system and opened the fan inside the car, but then it did it again AFTER I moved the car and turned it off and the heater was closed! I suspect it is the heater matrix, but what I would like to know before we try to get to it is is there something else it could be? If not then does it mean replacing the whole matrix or can it be fixed?

Sounds as though the heater matrix is leaking, quite a common probalem, it could be that the pipe seals have failed but in any event you need to gain access to the heater behind the dashboard.
