Hi
Hope somebody can help
After checking all my lights i noticed that the centre brake light on my 1999 Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec wont work. I have replaced all the bulbs and checked the fuse and cant see any loose wires or connections in the bulb unit. The two side brake lights both work and the car does not have any other electrical problems.
Any advice will be very welcome.

I seem to recall reading on this forum about similar issues with the rear wash wipe motor not working. Turned out that on older Focus models, with the constant opening and closing of the boot, the wires that supply electrical power to lights and motor on the boot lid can fracture causing your symptoms. If i remember there is a rubber boot at the top left of the boot opening. Inside will be the wires you need to look at for any damage.
The solution is to either repair the break, or let in new cabling to replace the damaged section which could involve dropping the rear headlining inside the car to gain better access.
Hope this helps.
