Hi,
I have snapped the edge off my rear light casing (by reversing into a skip on my drive-plonker!) The bulbs still work and the plastic over the bulb area is intact except for a crack.
Will it need to be replaced to get through it's Mot next week?
Thanks,
Mike.

so long as no white light showing then its ok
suggest take it off after the mot if it will come out and superglue the crack up so water cant get in

if you are showing white light to the rear then the lens should be replaced

I beg to differ.
I've had cars fail MoT tests due to a crack in the rear light lens which has only covered the "sealed" part at the edge - not even encroaching on to the area where reflected light passes through. Personally I would line up a replacement lens before the test.

like previous replys if no white light not a fail, un less it has a sharp edge where broken, this can be over come with tape to coer any jagged bits. steve
