98 1.3 Front wheel bearing - fld
I have a 98 1.3 fiesta finesse. I've changed front bearings on older fords (eg mk2 fester) and now need to do them on my mk4. Is it a similar job in that I can punch out the old shell and use that to drift in the new one or is it a case of having to have them pressed in/out like the focus rears? Just thought I'd ask before I start turning nuts.

Cheers

I am sure someone will tell you, I am not familier with your particular car, but if the bearing is pressed in, a relativly easy to get it out, is to run a ring of weld around the inside of the shell, when it cools it will shrink and you should be able to remove it with a couple of screwdrivers.

Thanks for that, its a very useful tip to know and not one I'd come across before!
