Nissan Almera Tino (2000 - 2006) - Tricky gearchanges 136 gearbox

I am now on my second Tino, very under rated vehicle in my opinion. Has anyone encountered the same problem as me- changing gear from 1st to 2nd can be tricky. I did test drive another Tino 2004 before I bought the latest and noticed the same tricky change. Going from 3rd to 2nd 4th to 2nd no problem. Before i speak to the dealer any suggestions?

Yes, good motors.

1-2 change can be a bit baulky in the Tino, Almera and old Primera which used the same box. Usually they are much better when hot. I think Nissan had a TSB suggesting a move from a 75W-90 to a 75W-85. That would be my suggestion, and use a GL-4 oil.
