BMW microfilter quick question - jacks
I need to replace the pollen/microfilter on my E46 BMW, Euro car parts lists 2 filters for this car....one is listed as "standard" & the other is listed as "active carbon for Air conditioned cars".
I'm confused by this as ALL E46 BMW's have Aircon as standard.

Does anyone know what is fitted as standard to these cars?

Can I fit either type?

thanks

Can you look at your existing filter/s, if it has a layer of black granules embedded inside it, this is the charcoal. However, if they get very dirty and old, it can be difficult to see. On many cars, they are interchangeable anyway, it's just the price which is different.

The fact that something is std. in the UK does not make it std. in all countries. The UK has traditionally sold hi-spec cars mainly because the greater % of vehicles sold in the UK are company-owned in some form.
