Hi there

Would somebody be able to help me with my latest problem?

I have a W Reg Astra 1.7dti and when I drive above 80mph for any longer than say 5 minutes the Engine Management Light comes on. Bizarrely, after this happens the car becomes siginificantly more responsive with lots of black smoke on acceleration.

An engine restart in the motorway services and the light stays out, and the whole loop starts again.

I know the easy one, stay at 70 on the motorway, but something isn't right. Any pointers before I take it to Vauxhall would be greatly appreciated.
