I have a 1.6 petrol 51 plate Xsara Picasso. When I set off the car is ok until the engine is warm, then I notice when I stop the revs are a little high and slowly drops to normal. Each time I stop it takes a little longer for the revs to drop. Eventually it doesn't drop at all and then increases as if I have my foot to the floor, I have to turn the engine off whilst waiting at traffic lights and junctions.
I have done a diagnostic check and the only fault showing is slow cooling fan relay circuit.
I have replaced the MAP sensor and also taken off the idle air control valve and sprayed it with carb cleaner but there is no difference.
Any ideas as to what I should do next
Thanks
