Nissan Note - Steering problems - Antinote

I purchased a New Nissan Note in March 2013 from Glyn Hopkin Ltd, Romford, a main local Nissan Dealer. It was soon noticed that it pulled to the left quite badly. We notified the dealer of this problem within 2 weeks of taking delivery and it was 27 days before they were able to have the car back for checks. So far they have had the car back 3 times, each time saying that it is within Nissan specification and no problem exists. I have over the last 5 months had 5 independant checks all recognised garages including 1 other Nissan Main agent, they all confirmed that it pulls to the left unacceptable in a modern car and one stating that it could be dangerous. All these checks I have paid for myself. I have also contacted Nissan Customer Care and have a case number of my complainr but have got very little help from them as they will only accept the findings of the dealer. The car is not now in use and I feel that my only course of action is to proceed through the court to get a resolution to this problem. Any suggestions please.

Reject it. They're treating you like an idiot and are stringing you along untill it will be too late to reject (around 6 months iirc??).

If another Nissan dealer confirms that there is a fault, why can't they repair it under warranty? You don't have to go back to the dealer you bought it from.

Could be a tyre problem, get them to swap the front tyres over and see if it makes any difference.

My Nissan Note tends to pull slightly to the left but not enough to bother me. I have noticed that when the car happens to be positioned in the centre of the road camber it runs ok. When I recently had the tracking checked (4 wheel alignment), it was demonstrated to me via the gauge readings, that the toe-in was out of tolerance. I noticed some improvement after adjustment.

Many thanks to all that replied to my letter. Nissan customer care and the dealer still will not accept that there is a problem with my Note even though I have obtained 6 independant professional checks all confirming the veer to the left is unacceptable and 2 state it could be dangerous. My wife now refuses to drive it as a result. The last check/report was by an engineer appointed by Motor Codes Ltd.This engineer again said there was a fault. Nissan had stated that they would accept their findings but now refuse to do so. As an engineer myself I have carried out measurements which have shown that the rear off-side wheel is out of alignment.as all previous reports have indicated. This is a result I feel the method of constructing the whole rear suspension assembly causing all the steering problems that are mentioned on the net. I will explain further if anyone is interested. I now feel that the only option I have will be to persue my claim through court action. With the knowledge I have I am quite prepared to follow this course of action.

Avant gave you a simple answer on Sept 18th.

Why are your expecting the dealer to do the right thing here...do you expect a politician to honour a cast iron guarantee once he's got your vote?
