Why does the 2011 Toyota Yaris have more expensive VED than the older model?

The 2006-2011 Toyota Yaris 1.33 has a VED price of £30 per year whereas the 2011 Yaris with the same 1.33 engine, according to dealers, is £110 per year. Do you know why the reason is this?

If it's under 120g/km CO2 the rate is £30. if it's 121g/km to 130g/km the rate is £110. The difference could be accounted for by something as silly as the tyres.
