What type of auto 'box does the Focus use?

Having read up on the internet and examined the new Focus brochure, I am unclear about what type of automatic gearbox this vehicle has. The brochure describes a diesel Focus as having a "Powershift six-Speed Auto". However, the EcoBoost petrol Focus are quoted as having a "six-speed automatic", i.e. without Powershift being mentioned.

What, if any, is the difference and what is your opinion of the Focus automatic gearbox? I currently drive a Jaguar X-Type 2.2 diesel six-speed sequential shift automatic and am familiar how this works. Does the Focus automatic function the same?

Also, this model has 17-inch wheels. I am not sure whether it can be supplied with 16-inch wheels, but would this be a better option for ride without affecting handling?

The 1.0 Ecoboost 125 and the 1.5 EcoBoost 150 and 182 come with six-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. The 2.0 litre TDCI comes with a six-speed wet clutch Powershift. The six-speed dry clutch Powershifts have had clutch pack problems. 16-inch wheels with 55 profile tyres will give a better ride than 17-inch wheels with 45 profile tyres.
