When would be the best time to part-exchange my Ford Mondeo?

I have a five-year-old Mondeo in excellent condition. What do you consider would be the best time, this year, to seek a part-exchange at a franchised dealer? Now, or after the introduction of the new yearly registration in September?

With waiting times on some new cars stretching into early 2011, we'd say as soon as possible. Even on some Fords there's a 16-week waiting list, and there can be an eight-week wait, which would take you beyond September anyway.
