Buying a new car - hybrid or diesel?

I am coming up to replacing my existing car and have historically bought new diesels to cover an annual mileage of 25k (mostly motorway and A roads). Given diesel engines are becoming more complex to meet Euro6 standards, is it now worth considering a hybrid?

Definitely take the hybrid route. They are not only cleaner, the technology is far more reliable.
