Can I reject my five month old Volkswagen Tiguan due to Volkswagen missions deception?

I purchased a Tiguan 2.0 TDI 4motion Match 140 in April this year. I understand this has the EA189 engine that is the subject of the emissions misrepresentation. The car is on a PCP deal with Volkswagen financial services.

Can and should I reject the car under the consumer credit act? My concern is that second hand values of Volkswagend, particularly diesels, are going to plummet and affect any additional equity that may have been left at the end of the PCP deal. When we bought a diesel we did consider the particulates emissions and it's disconcerting to find they are then even higher than believed.

Do I have to wait for Volkswagen to complete their investigation, as the car will soon be coming up to six months? If a rejection were possible what would a reasonable refund level be?
