Volkswagen Golf TSI buying advice

I own a 2008 Golf Match with the 1.4 TSI (122) engine and have been impressed with the car and engine. Is the MKVI a good used buy in similar spec and should I consider going for the 160ps 1.4 TSI engine? I've read that the tsi engine has suffered some failures: does this apply equally to both the 122 and 160 versions?

The Mk V and Mk VI 1.4 TSI were chain cam and the chains have been of variable quality so a small pecentage have been failing. Best to avoid the Twincharger versions altogether because the combined effect of supercharger and turbo can put too much fuel into the engine that then washes out the bores. There have been a lot of failures of this engine. The Mk VII 1.4 TSI 125 and 140/150ACT are belt cam. No problems with them, yet.
