How do I replace the pollen filter on a Nissan X-Trail?

I cannot find the air conditioning pollen filter (nor can any body else) on my 2006 Nissan X-Trail. Can you help because the unit is starting to smell!

The pollen filter is always somewhere between the bulkhead vent well (under the grille between the bottom of the screen and the engine compartment) and the cabin. Access may be from inside the cabin. On the later model it involved removing the glove-box. Links to all the information here: www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Nissan+X+Trail+poll...n
