How can I remove my association from another vehicle which has cloned my number plate?

The police inform me that my number plate has been cloned and on two separate occasions this vehicle and its owners have been thieving in my name. Obviously the police come to me each time as I am the registered keeper. If they speed in this cloned car how can I prove it wasn't me?

What you have to, do is re-register the car with a different age related plate. It will cost you, but worth it to eliminate the hassle.
