Honda CR-V - should we sell or keep it?

Our Honda CR-V (petrol, automatic) needs new tyres before the winter, which I guess will cost £600+. We’ve done 74,000 miles in the Honda and are quite happy with it, although it’s expensive to run with 25mpg and £265 for VED. Should we consider keeping the car for another couple of years or part-exchange now?

The only major component to fail has been the air conditioning compressor in 2012. Can we expect any major component failures in the near future? If we change, what should we consider? I'd like something cheaper to run and maybe a bit smaller, but with the same high spec.

I'd keep it. Get a set of 'All Weather' tyres. You did not give me the size (17-inch, 18-inch or 19-inch), so I can't tell you if Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons come in that size. Vredestein Quatracs probably do. Another is Bridgestone A001. These tyres are excellent in snow and, unlike most specific 'cold weather tyres' you can leave them on all year round.
