Buying a Skoda Yeti - petrol or diesel?
I want to buy a new Skoda Yeti but cannot decide if I should get a petrol or diesel. I do 15,000 miles per year; consisting of one or two monthly trips of 400 miles in a day and the rest largely made up of trips between five and ten miles. Is the 1.8 TSI 160PS or the 2.0 TDI 170PS manual my better option?

The 1.8TSI 160 is far more fun. More like driving a GTI. But, sensibly, the 2.0TDI will be more fuel efficient and the better engine assuming you will be selling the Yeti after 3 - 4 years. After that, it could be more trouble and will need a £500 timing belt change.
