Where can I have my Citroen Picasso's gearbox fault repaired?

I have a 57-plate Picasso on 41,000 miles. Within the warranty period the gearbox would clunk and the dashboard would display "autogearbox fault". It has been back to a Citroen garage and they can't replicate the fault but admit some faults were recorded on the car's ECU. Last time they had it they replaced the gearbox oil only and told me to monitor it. The fault unsurprisingly recurred. Any ideas what the fault is? How should I pursue this with Citroen, who don't seem to have any idea?

Which Picasso? The Xsara Picasso 2.0-litre with 4-speed torque converter auto, the C4 Picasso with EGS or the C4 Picasso with torque converter auto? Whichever, a member of Fedauto (www.fedauto.co.uk) is more likely to be able to fix it than a Citroen dealer, though obviously not under warranty.
