DSG gearbox issues on Volkswagen Golf

I am having some serious issues with the DSG gearbox in my 2009 Volkswagen Golf. I was pulling out of a junction and the car started to judder and then the gearbox disconnected. Now the car refuses to engage any gears and dashboard simply flashes the selected gear. Any ideas?

That is the reason for the Worldwide recall. If the car is a 2012 or 2013 build, crystalline deposits will have formed in the synthetic ATF, knocking out and fusing the Mechatronics, thereby leaving you without 'drive'. The cure is to replace the ATF with mineral ATF and maybe to repair the Mechatronics.
