Used car warranty

I have recently purchased a 2nd hand Golf GTI. It came with 6 months auto trust formula 2 warranty. I have been given the option of extending this to a 1 year warranty for £250. Is this worth considering?

The car is a 57 plate 5dr GTI, with DSG gearbox. It has full VW service history and has done 36000miles.

Are used car warranties worth the money?

You have the documents so read what it will cover and what exclusions apply and then base your decision on that. A 2007 GTI will have the more reliable wet clutch 6-speed DSG. But this needs regular expensive transmission fluid and microfilter changes.
