Buying a car that's pre-registered to a company and not a dealer

A broker on AutoeBid is offering me a car sourced from a dealer, but first registered with another company. They have invoiced me in the name of this company and not the dealer. Is this correct? Should I be paying the dealer?

I only recommend brokers that put you onto the dealer who has the car who you then pay. Otherwise the broker legally becomes the "supplier", which is not good news in UK law.
