Mystery bleep from my Mercedes-Benz C220's dash - what is it?

I have a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI. Over the last week a single bleep has started emit from the centre console area every four to five minutes. This happens both with the radio/CD player on and off. The bleep sounds when the car is running, but also when it's stationary in the garage every four or five minutes. Do you have any idea what's happening?

It's indicating that something has been triggered. It could be Bluetooth trying to pair with a phone. The dealer can tell you what it is.
