Is my Saab warranty still valid despite SAAB going bankrupt?

I purchased a Saab in 2010 from a Saab/Chrysler dealer in Exeter. I have been advised that even though the warranty has 14 months to run, because Saab have been declared bankrupt the warranty is cancelled. My own thoughts are that as I purchased the car from the dealer and not direct from Saab, then the dealer is obliged to honour the warranty, under The Sale of Goods Act. Am I right, and if not, do I have any redress at all?

It would be an interesting test case, but I think the answer is no because the dealer could not have any control over Saab going bankrupt. In other words it could not be held responsible for a future event. www.warrantydirect.co.uk is offering a 25 per cent discount on replacement warranties to Saab owners.
