What tyres should I buy for my BMW X3?

I currently run a 2011 BMW X3. I have just had my first service at 18,000 miles and was told the tyres are down to 3mm, so due for a change shortly. It's currently on Pirelli P7s (non runflat) 225/60 R17 99H. BMW has quoted £195 per tyre for a new set, but when I shopped around none of the established tyre firms offered a Pirelli and a search on the Pirelli website indicates that they don't make any tyres for the X3 now.

Can't say I've been that impressed with the mileage I've achieved with the P7s; I managed more than 30,000 miles with my previous Honda CRV. Any thoughts on the mileage I've achieved with the P7s and the alternative options listed?

Normal Pirelli tyres for the X3 would be Scorpion STRs (there are five types of Scorpions) and for high speed winter driving, Sotto Zeros. You could switch to Michelin, either Latitude or Latitude Alpin for the winter.
