Where can a 17-year-old find affordable car insurance?
My 17-year-old grandson is taking his driving test soon. He will be driving a 2004 Fiat Punto 1.2-litre model. The problem is insurance. Even being added to his parents' insurance policy results in a quoted £3000 premium for my grandson. Any suggestions?

I recommend a 'black box' telematics-based insurance. I've heard some very positive reports of Co-Operative Younger Driver telematics insurance schemes. There are some links at the bottom of this directory: www.honestjohn.co.uk/useful-websites/tax-insurance.../

Better than the original Punto in almost every way. Excellent driving environment. Easy to get in and out of. Practical and inexpensive to run.
