Warranty repair has failed, so is the second repair at my expense?

My Skoda Octavia vRS heater was repaired under warranty in May 2011, and the manufacturer's warranty later expired on 3 November 2011. Exactly the same fault has now occurred again, where the heater blows intermittently, but the Skoda dealership says the parts warranty expires at the same time as the manufacturer's warranty, and I'll have to pay up to £300 to have the same part fitted even though it's only six months old. Are they correct?

Replacement parts fitted under warranty are only warranted for as long as the existing warranty. But you should be able to extract some goodwill towards the cost here.
