Which automatic car would you recommend for 6000 miles per year?

I am looking for a suitable new car with automatic transmission for my wife. Annual mileage will be about 6000. Current models being considered are Astra 1.6 auto, Corsa 1.4 auto, and Fiesta 1.4 auto. Are the automatic transmission systems considered to be OK or are there any areas that I should reconsider? Would a different car be a better option? If I do not offer a trade-in vehicle, what sort of discount should I look for?

A Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT-7 is the most practical and versatile and simple to drive. A Mazda 2 1.5TS2 Activmatic is the prettiest and the most fun. The Hyundai ix20 1.6 auto, KIA Venga 1.6 auto and Toyota Verso S Multidrive S should also be on the list. The Toyota is the only one that comes in under 121g/km CO2, so is £30 annual tax rather than £95.
