Why does my new KIA Venga smell of diesel?

I traded in my Peugeot 207 SW for a Kia Venga 1 diesel, which is a nice car and I'm happy apart from one thing: there is a distinct diesel smell in the cabin. I took it back to the dealer and left it with them for two days so they could do a long test drive. They say they couldn't notice it, which I cannot believe as my wife noticed it straight away, but say that it may be the the protective waxoil burning off the exhaust. I have now done 1200 miles in it - 120 miles a day at motorway speeds - and it still smells and I don't know what to do next. Any ideas what it might be, or are any other Venga owners reporting the same?

Not heard of that happening elsewhere. Now that it's done a few miles, get it back to the dealers and ask them to investigate further - that's what the seven-year warranty is there for.
