How to remove the battery on a Ford Focus

Just obtained a Type 110 (78AH) (700A crank) silver calcium battery replacement.
How do you remove the old one?

In this model, the battery is fitted with one half of its length tucked under the bottom of the screen, adjacent to the front LHS suspension dome, longitudinally, front to back. The 110 case battery is huge for this size of vehicle and is normally found in high-end, high-capacity large vehicles.
The Type 075 case, used in petrol models simply tilts up at the front end and lifts out, but it doesn't look possible with a battery this long.

So do I have to start stripping out under-bonnet components to allow this battery to be removed or is there some different procedure for this vehicle? Any guidance appreciated, please?

Well not sure what battery make you have , but the standard battery for your model would be
Length 317mm
Width 175mm
Height 175mm
Weight would be 21kg
CCA (crank = 750A)
80AH.
This then would suffice and should fit in exactly the same as the old one.
You should be able to remove the clamps holding the battery and then just refit the new one.
