Buying a medium family carto replace my MINI

I have a MINI Countryman, and need something larger and comfortable, sporty but smooth. Had a current SEAT Leon DSG diesel, with no DPF before, and want something slightly larger. The Audi A3 appeals, and I'm looking at up to three years old.

I want an auto petrol, as don't want diesel problem costs. I like the Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat. I want a car with a good image and quality, and features such as auto lights wipers etc. Under £10,000 is the aim.

I don't like VAG DSGs, so can't recommend anything from the models you like. Maybe an Audi A4 1.8TSI Multitronic, if you can get one within budget.
