Does the dealer need to give me a courtesy car?

I bought vehicle with a gearbox fault, the dealer will fix it but will take approx 2 weeks and wont supply a courtesy vehicle. Does the dealer have to provide a courtesy vehicle if they are repairing my vehicle for 2 weeks and I need my vehicle daily?

If the purchase was within 6 months think you can say to him that if he does not supply a replacement vehicle for the duration of the repair you will have to hire one and will have to sue him for the cost via the small claims track of the county court.
