Telematics for older drivers

We are at our wits end. My wife is retiring next year, and we are buying a Toyota Yaris for my daughter to learn in.

As my wife has had three claims on her company car insurance, none of which were her fault (car park bumps and a hit and run where funds could not be reclaimed), it is going to cost in excess of £4000 to get her on the Yaris insurance.

She is now facing probably 4 years of using the bus, or a taxi, or worse stranded at home. Can you make any suggestions as she is really depressed.
