Deal. Or no deal?

A Range Rover, dealer is advertising new Diesel Range Rover 4.4 TD V.8, cash price: £68,995, deposit: £41,436, pay after 24 months £27,549, or give the car back to the dealer. Rate of interest is 0%. This seems a very good deal. I mean, if you wanted to hire a car of this class it would cost you a lot more. I was quite surprised to read in Jeremy Clarkson's, column about the battery problems the new Range Rover is experiencing. Have you come across this problem?

These battery failures are usually because people run food and wine coolers from the auxiliary power sockets and forget that they are draining the car's battery while it is parked. Happens a lot at Ascot. £41,346 divided by 24 works out at £1,726.50 a month. Between build cost and sale there is a lot of profit in a Range Rover. More than £27,549.
