Skoda has updated the software in my DSG automatic and the car has been transformed.

Further to previous correspondence with you regarding DSG gearbox hesitation on exiting junctions and joining roundabouts, today, on Skoda's request, I took my car to the local dealer for a 'new software' update. It apparently wipes the DSG and ECU memory and installs a new programme. It took about an hour and the car has been transformed as far as I can tell during the 45 mile drive home.

Pickup is now immediate, at roundabouts and road junctions. It no longer dies as I enter my drive and I can squirt across the road into my drive in relative safety now. What I have not yet tried is reversing uphill, but going forward the difference is remarkable. I understand from my conversation with Skoda last week, and today, that this software update has just been finalised and only a handful have so far had the treatment.

Many thanks for the information. They must have modified the much criticised programming that delays acceleration from a stop after your foot has been on the brake.
