All of these vehicles achieved a four out of five rating in our reviews so they are very closely matched, but there are some differences between them. The Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe are similar vehicles underneath, but more importantly these two options are larger vehicles, both with seven seats. If you need this additional space then these would be the better options, but if this is not the case then the smaller Mazda and Volvo will likely offer reduced running costs as a result. The Mazda is nicer to drive while the Volvo is the most comfortable option - the only issue with the XC60 is that its boot is relatively small compared to its rivals. If it has enough space for your needs then we would suggest the Volvo as the best option, while the Mazda has a little more space for luggage.
