Is condensation in both fog lights normal?

I have a used 2 year old Skoda superb. Just serviced with Skoda and raised the issue of both fog lights sometimes gets condensation on inside the lens. They asked me to get photographs of this which I sent them. After chasing for a reply this is there reply. "Condensation in bulb units — especially fog lamp units — is very common due to the temperature differences between the warm interior and cool exterior air. Because the units are vented, it is very common, but if they clear after 10-15 minutes this would indicate there isn't a blockage and they are operating as they should.

If you can confirm this for me first of all?

If the condensation stays within the units for long periods of time this is something we would have to re-book back in (likely for a couple of days) to look into further. If we can get this through to warranty, we'll need to follow a strict test plan provided by Skoda and we will need evidence of the condensation not clearing so we can get the claim authorised. If the condensation is clearing it is unlikely to be covered by warranty".
After several hours in the morning and sun has come up the condensation clears but my b.elief is that they should not condensate at all.
Please, what do you think and what should I reply.

It is correct that many modern lighting units are vented rather than fully sealed, as this is a simpler solution. While a fully sealed unit is more likely to prevent condensation, creating a seal that lasts the lifetime of the car is difficult and expensive, as well as being expensive to repair when it eventually fails. As long as the condensation is clearing then it means the unit is functioning as it should and we would not expect a repair or replacement to be carried out under warranty. You can of course continue the process with the dealer if you believe that there is a fault with the lighting units.
