We bought a customer care package but dealer has now gone bust - what can we do?

We bought a Range Rover Evoque from Autos North West in January 2024 using PCP finance from Halifax. The total purchase price included £2000 for a warranty which they called a Customer Care Package. This included 3 years servicing and MoTs. The car has been MoTd and serviced by Autos North West once in December 2024. When trying to book the car in for its next MoT we have discovered the company has gone into liquidation. Is there anything we can do to try and reclaim any money already paid for the customer care package?

In the event that a warranty provider has gone into liquidation there are limited options available to you. If the warranty is backed by a third part insurance provider you can potentially take up your claim with them, and if the warranty was also paid for using finance then you can contact the finance provider to see if they are able to assist. You also have the option of contacting the liquidator and making a claim as a creditor, although any payout may be minimal.
