Do Faraday pouches wear out?
We have a 2020 Honda Jazz Hybrid, with keyless entry and ignition. When the car was new we bought two recommended Faraday pouches for the keys. I now find that these don't work any more. Is there any timespan that these pouches have, or are we just unlucky? They both worked perfectly when new, it's pure luck that we've now found that they no longer work.

Faraday pouches can wear out over time, as with use cracks can begin to form in the casing which can allow the signal to pass through. However five years of use is pretty acceptable for a low-cost security item, and with keyless entry cars there are a sensible precaution.
